About This Scholarship
The MEXT Scholarship offers fully funded undergraduate education in Japan for international students, including tuition coverage, monthly stipend, and accommodation support. Students study at Japanese national universities and may receive preparatory education in Japanese language before beginning their undergraduate courses.
What This Scholarship Covers

Who Can Apply
- 1 Must be a high school graduate or equivalent (or those who will graduate by the end of March in the year of application)
- 2 Must not have Japanese nationality
- 3 Must be under 25 years old at the time of application
- 4 Must be physically and mentally healthy
- 5 Must have academic ability to pursue undergraduate studies
- 6 Must not be simultaneously receiving other government scholarships
- 7 Must commit to studying full-time at a Japanese national university
