About This Scholarship

SIPRI is offering five internship positions from mid-July/August to mid-December 2026 across three dynamic teams: Communication Team (2 positions), Director’s Office (1 position), and Stockholm Forum Team (2 positions). Interns will gain hands-on experience in one of the world’s most respected research institutions focused on peace, conflict, security, and development.

What This Scholarship Covers

  • Fully funded internship position
  • Support for research and policy work in peace and conflict studies

  • Experience with international conferences and stakeholder engagement

Who Can Apply

  • 1 Be enrolled in a university internship program or affiliated with an organization
  • 2 Have valid insurance and a designated supervisor/contact person
  • 3 Be currently studying or recently graduated in fields such as International Relations, Political Science, Development Studies, Communication, or Management
  • 4 Strong interest in peace, conflict, and development issues
  • 5 Experience in coordination, administration, or event planning
  • 6 Fluent in written and spoken English
