About This Scholarship

The CREATIVE Fellowship is a 30-month fully funded international programme that combines a distance learning Master’s degree from LSHTM with practical clinical research placements at leading African health research institutions and industry exposure. Designed for early-career researchers from Sub-Saharan Africa, it strengthens clinical research capacity while providing academic advancement, mentorship, and networking opportunities.

Who Can Apply

  • 1 Be a national of Ethiopia, Ghana, The Gambia, Uganda, Zambia, or Zimbabwe
  • 2 Apply for a fellowship hosted in country of nationality
  • 3 Hold a first- or second-class honours degree in Natural Sciences, Life Sciences, Epidemiology, Statistics, Medicine or related disciplines
  • 4 Have at least one year of experience in health research
  • 5 Meet Band B English language requirements (test results may be submitted later if not available at application)
  • 6 Be available to begin the fellowship full-time in October 2026
  • 7 Provide two reference letters, including one from a current employer
