About This Scholarship
The Officially Green Leaders Fellowship is a prestigious, fully funded national initiative designed to identify and empower one exceptional sustainability leader from each of Nigeria’s 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), creating a cohort of 37 fellows. Through an intensive one-week residential programme and subsequent 12-month implementation phase, fellows receive advanced leadership training and develop state-specific sustainability action plans to strengthen climate governance and environmental impact across Nigeria.
What This Scholarship Covers
- Full residential accommodation for the one-week residency
- All meals and refreshments throughout the program
- Transportation funding to and from the residency location
Who Can Apply
- 1 Must be a citizen or resident of Nigeria
- 2 Must demonstrate proven commitment to sustainability or environmental action
- 3 Must have leadership experience or strong leadership potential
- 4 Must demonstrate capacity to mobilize stakeholders within their state
- 5 Must show dedication to structured, measurable impact
- 6 May come from civil society, academia, public service, private sector, or grassroots initiatives
- 7 One exceptional individual selected from each of Nigeria's 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory
