About This Scholarship

The Malaysian Government MTCP Scholarship is a fully funded postgraduate scholarship for international students to pursue a Master’s degree at Malaysian public and private universities. The scholarship covers all tuition fees, monthly living allowance, and return airfare.

What This Scholarship Covers

  • Full tuition fees
  • Monthly living allowance
  • One-off return economy-class airline ticket from student's closest international airport to Malaysia and back to student's home country

Who Can Apply

  • 1 Not more than 45 years old at the time of application
  • 2 For Master's Degree Program, obtain a minimum of Second Class Upper (Honours) or a minimum CGPA of 3.5 at Undergraduate Degree level
  • 3 Proof of English Language Proficiency: IELTS (minimum total score 6.0) or TOEFL paper-based test with a score of 500 or internet-based test with a score of 60, or degrees with English as medium of instruction
  • 4 Excellent level of health certified by a doctor/physician
  • 5 Must undertake full-time study for postgraduate programs at selected Higher Learning Institutions
  • 6 Applications only open to candidates who have received offer letters from Malaysian universities but have not yet started studies, or have registered for no more than one semester for a Master's Degree
