About This Scholarship

ACU Fellowships facilitate collaboration and partnership between ACU member universities across the Commonwealth through research visits lasting 1 to 6 months. The 2026 programme includes specialized fellowships such as the Accountancy Fellowship and Hong Kong Inbound and Outbound Fellowships, each with specific funding amounts and focus areas.

Who Can Apply

  • 1 Must be academic or professional services staff at an ACU member university
  • 2 Must have or identify a collaborator at an ACU member university in a different country from the applicant's home institution
  • 3 Research visit must be between 1 to 6 months duration
  • 4 For Accountancy Fellowship: project must focus on higher education finance, research to policy engagement, or sustainable and innovative funding models
  • 5 For Hong Kong fellowships: either travel to Hong Kong or outbound travel from Hong Kong institution

Register for a MyACU account if you do not already have one

Complete the online application form with the following information: summary of work planned, reasoning for chosen collaboration, projected impact, professional development benefits, planned outputs, time plan covering minimum six months between September 2026 and July 2027, and associated costs

Obtain and attach a letter or email of support from applicant's head of department at home institution

Obtain and attach a letter or email of support from collaborator at partner institution

Submit application through the online form
