About This Scholarship
The HKU Global South Fellowship Scheme is a prestigious funded visiting fellowship for professoriate staff from Global South universities to conduct collaborative research with the Faculty of Social Sciences. Fellows spend 1-3 months at the University of Hong Kong engaging in knowledge exchange, collaborative research projects, and academic activities.
What This Scholarship Covers
- Economy class return airfare up to HK$10,000 (reimbursement basis)
- Daily per-diem allowance of HK$1,500 inclusive of accommodation for the entire fellowship period
Who Can Apply
- 1 Must be professoriate staff affiliated with universities or comparable institutions in the Global South region
- 2 Must identify and secure a Faculty Associate (Assistant Professor or above) from HKU Faculty of Social Sciences before application
- 3 Research interests must align with a Faculty member's specialisation
