About This Scholarship
The MOFA Taiwan Fellowship is a fully funded research fellowship for foreign professors, associate professors, assistant professors, postdoctoral researchers, and doctoral candidates from APEC member countries. Selected fellows conduct cutting-edge research at Taiwanese universities or educational institutions for 3 to 12 months, with up to 12 fellowship positions available annually.
What This Scholarship Covers
- Monthly stipend (NT$60,000 for professors/associate professors/research fellows or NT$50,000 for assistant professors/doctoral candidates)
- Return economy class airfare to Taiwan
- Accident and medical insurance (NT$1 million coverage)
Who Can Apply
- 1 Must be a citizen of an APEC member country
- 2 Must be a foreign professor, associate professor, assistant professor, postdoctoral researcher, doctoral candidate, or doctoral program student
- 3 Must be affiliated with an overseas educational institution or research organization
- 4 Area of specialization must be in humanities, social sciences, Taiwan studies, cross-strait relations, mainland China studies, Asia-Pacific studies, or Chinese studies
