About This Scholarship
The National Scholarship Programme supports international students, PhD students, university teachers, researchers, and artists for scholarship stays at higher education institutions and research organisations in Slovakia. The scholarship covers living costs including food and accommodation during study, research, or teaching stays of 1-10 months duration.
What This Scholarship Covers
- Monthly stipend (€620 for Master's students without PhD degree and less than 4 years work experience; €1,025.50 for PhD students; €1,025.50-€1,470 for university teachers/researchers/artists depending on qualifications and experience)
- Accommodation assistance available
- Assistance with entry and stay formalities
Who Can Apply
- 1 Must be a university student at a university outside Slovakia
- 2 Must be a Master's student or have completed at least 2.5 years of university studies in the same/similar programme at time of application deadline
- 3 Must be accepted by a public, private or state higher education institution in Slovakia for academic mobility
- 4 Must be proficient in English
- 5 For PhD students: must have higher education or scientific training outside Slovakia and be accepted by an eligible Slovak institution
- 6 For university teachers/researchers/artists: must be invited to a teaching/research/artistic stay by an eligible Slovak institution
