About This Scholarship
IFRA-Nairobi offers postdoctoral fellowships of 3-6 months for researchers conducting innovative studies on the social and spatial biographies of food objects across East Africa. The fellowship provides fieldwork support of 800 Euros per month and research support to contribute to interdisciplinary scholarship on food circulation, mobility, culture, and society.

Who Can Apply
- 1 Must have defended a PhD thesis in the social sciences or humanities after January 1, 2020
- 2 Must conduct research related to East Africa in disciplines such as geography, anthropology, political science, history, or related social science and humanities fields
- 3 Must currently reside in an East African country (Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, or Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo)
- 4 Must be under 45 years old
