About This Scholarship

UICC’s Technical Fellowships provide cancer professionals the chance to gain new knowledge, skills and techniques in cancer control through short learning visits of two weeks to two months’ duration. The fellowship facilitates international exchange and capacity building in cancer control, with emphasis on public health, cost-effective interventions, and equitable access to cancer care.

What This Scholarship Covers

  • Economy class airfare
  • Living costs based on host country published scales
  • Fellowship award amounts calculated by UICC based on duration and host country living costs

Who Can Apply

  • 1 Must be a public health professional, cancer researcher, clinician, nurse, or pathologist working in cancer control
  • 2 Must hold a minimum Master's degree (or equivalent one-year post-university training in cancer-related specialty)
  • 3 Qualified medical doctors with MD may apply if holding or within one year of board certification in cancer-related specialty
  • 4 Registered nurses with RN qualification are eligible
  • 5 Must have worked in the field of cancer for at least five years prior to applying
  • 6 Medical and PhD students are not eligible
  • 7 Applicants from Francophone African countries may apply in French
