The PhD at Risk Scholarships support scholars facing conflict, persecution, or academic disruption by offering fully funded doctoral positions at the University of Padua for the 2026/2027 academic year. Recipients receive an annual stipend of €17,443–€18,643 plus dedicated support services for integration and relocation assistance.

Who Can Apply
- 1 Be a candidate residing anywhere in the world
- 2 Be seeking to pursue a doctoral degree at the University of Padua
- 3 Be in a situation of risk or vulnerability due to conflicts, persecution, human rights violations, or political instability
- 4 Be from conflict zones or humanitarian crisis areas, or be a refugee or asylum seeker
- 5 Belong to vulnerable groups facing persecution based on political, religious, ethnic, sexual orientation, or other grounds
- 6 Belong to groups denied civil and educational rights, including academic freedom
- 7 Be applying for one of the three-year PhD programmes listed in Annex 1 of the official call
