About This Scholarship

The Heinrich Boll Foundation Washington DC Global Majority AI Fellowship 2026 is a fully funded international fellowship supporting civil society leaders, researchers, activists, and technologists from the Global South to participate in the first session of the United Nations Global Dialogue on AI Governance in Geneva, Switzerland. The fellowship aims to ensure that voices from underrepresented regions become part of global discussions on AI governance and digital policy.

Who Can Apply

  • 1 Must work in AI governance, digital rights, data justice, climate justice, or related fields

  • 4 Must have an interest in global AI policy and international cooperation
  • 5 Must be available to travel to Geneva from 6 to 7 July 2026
  • 6 Must actively engage in discussions and networking activities during the fellowship
