About This Scholarship
The JUST Fellowship is a four-month, field-based fellowship programme designed to document and engage with ecological, economic, and social transitions unfolding across India. Fellows will conduct grounded research and storytelling on just transitions across mining regions, energy corridors, agricultural landscapes, and infrastructure projects, producing long-form and public-facing articles.
What This Scholarship Covers
- Monthly stipend of Rs. 40,000
- Travel support of up to Rs. 10,000 (if required)
- Mentorship on need basis and subject to availability
Who Can Apply
- 1 Must be an Indian citizen
- 2 Must have 2–3 years of experience in livelihoods, labour, environment, ecology, governance, public policy, media, or related fields
- 3 Must have an interest in field-based work, documentation, and writing
- 4 Researchers, journalists, practitioners, independent writers, and grassroots workers are encouraged to apply
