About This Scholarship
The Gran Sasso Science Institute PhD Program 2027-2028 offers fully funded PhD fellowships to international students across multiple disciplines including astroparticle physics, mathematics, computer science, and social sciences. The programme is a four-year postgraduate research programme based at GSSI in L’Aquila, Italy, providing comprehensive financial support and benefits to all enrolled students.

- Free accommodation during first year
- Financial subsidy of €350/month gross for accommodation after first year (upon presentation of rental agreement)

- Yearly gross fellowship amount of €16,243
Who Can Apply
- 1 Must possess a Laurea Magistrale, Laurea Specialistica, or a four- or five-year degree from an Italian university
- 2 Must possess a foreign university degree with minimum legal duration of four years (eligibility assessed by selection committee)
- 3 Must have compulsory English language knowledge
- 4 Open to applicants from all countries in the world
