About This Scholarship

Deakin University offers fully funded Research Training Program (RTP) and Postgraduate Research Scholarships (DUPR) for domestic and international students pursuing research-based Master’s and PhD degrees. The scholarships cover tuition fees, provide annual stipends, relocation allowances, and overseas student health cover.

What This Scholarship Covers

  • Tuition fee waiver for scholarship duration
  • Stipend of AUD $37,450 per annum
  • Relocation allowance of AUD $500-$1,500 (single to family)
  • Single Overseas Student Health Cover policy for international students

Who Can Apply

  • 1 Must be enrolled in a Higher Degree Research (HDR) course at Deakin University
  • 2 Must have completed at least four years of tertiary education
  • 3 Must achieve 80% or equivalent in the research component of previous studies
  • 4 Must not be receiving any other scholarship or award from the Commonwealth designed to offset graduate research fees
  • 5 Must fulfill English language requirements of the program
  • 6 Both domestic and international students are eligible

Find and contact an ideal research supervisor in your field to discuss research interests

Arrange referee reports from a current or former lecturer, employer, or academic supervisor

Prepare required documents: resume/curriculum vitae, academic transcripts, research proposal, proof of identification and citizenship, publications information, letter of expression of interest (EOI), and any other program-specific documents

Submit application online via Deakin University's application form
