About This Scholarship
The Rhodes Scholarship is a fully-funded postgraduate award enabling outstanding young people from Kenya to undertake full-time study at the University of Oxford. The programme, established in 1902, aims to develop public-spirited leaders and promote international understanding and peace through an international community of scholars.

Who Can Apply
- 1 Must be a citizen of Kenya or a refugee/asylum seeker currently residing in Kenya
- 2 Must have been resident in Kenya for at least five of the last ten years
- 3 Must be aged 18-23 on 1 October 2026 (born after 1 October 2002 and before 2 October 2008), OR under 27 on 1 October 2026 (born after 1 October 1999) AND completed first undergraduate degree on or after 1 October 2025
- 4 Must have completed or will have completed an undergraduate degree (usually a Bachelor's) by July 2027
- 5 Must have academic background and grades meeting or exceeding specific entry requirements of chosen course at University of Oxford; candidates with First Class Honours Degree or GPA of 3.70/4.0 or higher have higher chances of admission
- 6 If English is not your first language, must meet Oxford University's English language requirements at the higher level
- 7 Must demonstrate academic excellence, energy to use talents, moral force of character and virtues including truth, courage, devotion to duty, sympathy for the weak, kindliness, unselfishness and fellowship
