About This Scholarship

SECAI offers scholarships to support outstanding Master’s students pursuing AI-related studies at TU Dresden or Leipzig University in Germany. The scholarship covers living expenses to allow students to focus on their studies, conduct research, and build professional networks while promoting internationalization and diversity in AI education.

What This Scholarship Covers

  • Monthly stipend of EUR 934
  • Family allowance for foreign students staying more than six months (EUR 276 per dependent)
  • Daily rate of EUR 31 for incomplete months

Who Can Apply

  • 1 Must be a current or prospective Master's student at TU Dresden or Leipzig University
  • 2 Studies must be closely related to SECAI research areas (including Computer Science, Data Science, Bioinformatics, Medical Informatics, or other programs with AI specialization)
  • 3 Must have a cumulative grade point average of 1.7 or better (after conversion to German grading system)
  • 4 Must not receive other scholarships or educational funding from public or private organizations
  • 5 Students in German Diplom programs must have completed the first two years (Grundstudium)
  • 6 Can apply in parallel to applying for a Master's program (requires two independent applications)

Application deadline is 30th June (earlier selection dates: 19th April for LL.M International Studies in Intellectual Property Law and Data Law; 19th May for all other programs)
