About This Scholarship
The Wang Gungwu Visiting Fellows Programme supports post-doctoral researchers and mid-career policy makers to conduct policy-relevant research on Southeast Asia, with a focus on big-power relations and their regional impact. Fellows are based at ISEAS for 2-6 months and are expected to contribute to publications and present their research findings.
What This Scholarship Covers
- Fixed monthly stipend inclusive of housing subsidy
- Round-trip economy airfare between home country and Singapore
- Office space
- Computer equipment and IT services
- Access to ISEAS Library and facilities
- Meeting with Professor Wang Gungwu during fellowship (where possible)
Who Can Apply
- 1 Must be a post-doctoral researcher or mid-career policy maker
- 2 Mid-career policy makers without a PhD or equivalent degree are welcome if CV/Resume demonstrates appropriate level of professional experience and research interest
- 3 Research must focus on priority areas: US-China relations and impact on Southeast Asia, Asia Pacific security issues, global/regional economic cooperation initiatives, rise of China and impact on Southeast Asian communities, or digital media and technology use by countries to influence perceptions in Southeast Asia
