About This Scholarship
The Yale Emerging Climate Leaders Fellowship is a competitive international program designed for rising professionals from the Global South with 5-10 years of experience in climate change and clean energy sectors. Fellows participate in a hybrid program combining remote learning sessions, an in-person orientation week at Yale (February 2027), and a closing week in Paris (June 2027), with all travel and accommodation costs covered.

Who Can Apply
- 1 Must be a representative of the Global South (Africa, Asia, Middle East, Latin America/Caribbean)
- 2 Must have 5-10 years of professional experience in climate change or clean energy sectors
- 3 Must demonstrate accomplished work at regional, national, or international level
- 4 Must be fluent in English with excellent command of the language
- 5 Must be available to participate in full program including two in-person weeks (February 1-5, 2027 and June 14-18, 2027)
- 6 Must be available for six remote learning journeys on Wednesdays at 9:00 AM Eastern time
- 7 Must be available to work on collaborative group project between March and June 2027
- 8 Must have established record of achievement in profession linked to clean energy and climate change
- 9 Must demonstrate commitment to making positive impact at local, national, or international level
- 10 Must show promise of future career in leadership at national and potentially global level
