About This Scholarship

The Friedrich Ebert Stiftung Scholarship provides fully funded support for undergraduate, Master’s, and PhD students studying in Germany who demonstrate outstanding academic merit and commitment to social democracy principles. The scholarship covers monthly stipends, health insurance, and includes a comprehensive seminar programme to enhance academic and social competencies.

  • 5 Show outstanding academic or artistic merit
  • 6 Priority given to first-generation academics, applicants with migration background, women, and students in STEM fields and universities of applied sciences

How to Apply

Complete the online application form with personal details, professional and family background, motivation, and civic engagement information

Receive decision on initial application within two to four weeks

If shortlisted, submit detailed curriculum vitae, educational certificates, proof of enrolment, detailed motivation letter, and two academic references from university lecturers or teachers

Provide all documentation within three weeks and arrange references within six weeks

FES reviews all submitted materials and notifies applicants of final decision
