About This Scholarship

The University of Twente Scholarship is a fully funded opportunity for outstanding non-EU/EEA international students pursuing master’s degrees at the University of Twente in the Netherlands. The scholarship provides financial support ranging from €3,000 to €22,000 per year to cover study-related costs.

What This Scholarship Covers

  • Tuition fee coverage
  • Accommodation support
  • Monthly stipend (€3,000 to €22,000 per year)
  • Additional support available through Kipaji Scholarship (up to €12,000) for students from Least Developed Countries and Low Income Countries

Who Can Apply

  • 1 Must be a non-EU/EEA citizen
  • 2 Must be applying for a master's degree programme at the University of Twente
  • 3 Must belong to the top 5-10 percent of graduation class
  • 4 Must first receive conditional or provisional admission to a qualifying master's programme before applying for the scholarship
  • 5 For Kipaji Scholarship: Must be from a Least Developed Country or Low Income Country on the DAC list
  • 6 Must not be a current University of Twente student (for Kipaji Scholarship)
  • 7 Cannot apply for programmes at the Faculty of Geo-Information Science and Earth Observation (ITC) for Kipaji Scholarship

How to Apply

Apply for admission to a qualifying master's programme at the University of Twente

Receive conditional or provisional admission letter

Register for the University of Twente Scholarship application (opens October 15, 2026)

Complete the UTS scholarship application form

Submit motivation letter indicating interest in Kipaji Scholarship if eligible

Submit all required documents through the application portal

Application deadline: April 1, 2027 at 16:00 CET
