The Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at McGill University is a fully funded master’s scholarship for talented leaders from Sub-Saharan Africa pursuing degrees in public health, nutrition, public policy, and sustainable agriculture. The programme provides comprehensive support including tuition, accommodation, living expenses, and professional development to empower young leaders to transform critical sectors across Africa.

Who Can Apply
- 1 Be a citizen and resident of a Sub-Saharan African country
- 2 Be under 35 years old at the time of application
- 3 Have never registered for or completed a master's degree
- 4 Hold a valid passport and be admissible to Canada (study permit required)
- 5 Demonstrate exceptional academic performance (first-class honours or equivalent preferred)
- 6 Show a strong record of service, leadership, and community engagement
- 7 Commit to giving back to their home community after graduation
- 8 Be admissible to eligible McGill programmes in Public Health, Nutrition, Public Policy, Sustainable Agriculture, or related disciplines aligned with Africa's development needs
