About This Scholarship
RMIT University offers Research Stipend Scholarships for Master’s by Research and PhD students, consisting of the government-funded RTP Stipend Scholarship (RSS) and the university-funded RMIT Research Stipend Scholarship (RRSS). These scholarships provide annual living stipends, tuition fee support, relocation allowances, and paid leave benefits for postgraduate research candidates.
What This Scholarship Covers
- Annual stipend of $36,245 per annum pro rata (full-time study, subject to annual indexation)
- RTP International Tuition Fee Offset Scholarship (RIFOS) or RMIT Research International Tuition Fee Scholarship (RRITFS) for international candidates
- RTP Fee Offset scholarship for local candidates (Australian and New Zealand citizens or permanent residents)
- Relocation allowance up to $515 per adult and $255 per child (maximum $1,540)
- Paid sick leave, maternity and parenting leave
Who Can Apply
- 1 Must be applying for a Master's by Research or PhD research degree at RMIT University
- 2 Must have an academic member of staff who agrees to supervise the research
- 3 International and domestic students are eligible
