About This Scholarship

UNESCO offers more than 450 annual fellowships for research and practical training across multiple focus areas, supporting students, PhD candidates, early-career professionals, and project initiators. Fellowships are available for studies, research, launching innovative projects, and postdoctoral opportunities hosted by several institutions across multiple countries.

How to Apply

Applications can only be submitted via the online portal once the call is open. 2. Use the 'Apply now' button at the bottom of each programme page to start application once the call is open. 3. Check individual programme pages for opening and closing dates. 4. Applicants are encouraged to apply for preliminary acceptance letter as early as possible, even before the opening date. 5. Only Acceptance letters dated the same year as the year of application are eligible. 6. Applicants may apply for only one programme per calendar year in the TWAS and OWSD portfolio.
