About This Scholarship
The ICGEB Arturo Falaschi SMART Fellowship Programme supports early-career researchers and PhD students to undertake advanced research training at laboratories in different ICGEB Member States for 3-9 months. The fellowship promotes international scientific mobility, strengthens research collaboration between institutions, and provides practical training in cutting-edge technologies and methodologies.
What This Scholarship Covers
- International economy-class return airfare
- Monthly living stipend (USD 1,500 for PhD fellows, USD 2,000 for postdoctoral fellows)
- Health insurance
- Monthly bench fee (USD 500) to receiving laboratory for research consumables
- Access to internationally recognized laboratories
- Hands-on training using advanced technologies
Who Can Apply
- 1 Must be a national of an ICGEB Member State
- 2 Must be actively working in a recognized research institution
- 3 Must be registered for a PhD or have obtained a PhD within the last five years
- 4 Young scientists holding an MSc or equivalent qualification are encouraged to apply
- 5 Must demonstrate clear research collaboration between home and receiving laboratories
- 6 Must apply to undertake research in another ICGEB Member State (not their own)
- 7 No age limit, but preference given to early-career scientists
