About This Scholarship

The Non-Japanese Graduate Scholarship (NJG), established in 1981, supports non-Japanese women enrolled in PhD programmes at Japanese universities with ¥2.0 million in financial support for one academic year. Selection is based on academic excellence, quality and feasibility of proposed research, and potential societal contribution.
