About This Scholarship

Barcelona GSE offers merit-based scholarships for international students from developing countries pursuing master’s degrees in economics, finance, and data science. The scholarship provides waivers covering 25%, 50%, 75%, or 100% of tuition fees, with approximately 800,000€ awarded annually to around 36% of matriculated students.

Who Can Apply

  • 1 Must be an international student from a developing country
  • 2 Must hold an undergraduate, bachelor's, or equivalent degree from an accredited institution with minimum 180 ECTS for Bologna degrees
  • 3 Typical background in economics, finance, engineering, mathematics, statistics, or business administration
  • 4 Advanced English language proficiency: TOEFL score of 90 or better OR IELTS Academic Test score of 6.5 or better
  • 5 Must demonstrate outstanding academic record
  • 6 Must demonstrate strong quantitative skills
  • 7 Must provide two reference letters

How to Apply

Gather application materials including undergraduate transcripts (official or unofficial), undergraduate diploma or commitment letter, passport copy, CV (2 pages maximum), statement of purpose (700 words maximum), and proof of English language proficiency

Optionally submit GRE General Test scores (highly recommended)

Pay non-refundable application fee of 60€ via credit card or bank transfer
