About This Scholarship
The Heinrich Böll Foundation offers scholarships for international Master’s and PhD students from DAC countries to study at German universities through its Tailwind for Talents initiative. The programme aims to remove financial barriers to higher education and promote equal access to quality education for talented students from developing nations.

Who Can Apply
- 1 Must be an international student who completed their first university degree outside Germany
- 2 Must be from a Development Assistance Committee (DAC) country
- 3 Must intend to pursue a Master's degree or PhD at a recognised German university
- 4 For Master's applicants: must not have commenced studies at the time of application
- 5 For PhD applicants: must have completed a graduate degree and meet doctoral admission requirements
- 6 Priority given to applicants who have not yet established residence in Germany at the time of application
