About This Scholarship
The University of Manchester Equity and Merit Scholarships 2027–2028 offer fully funded master’s degrees for talented graduates from Ethiopia, Malawi, Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda, and Zimbabwe who are committed to sustainable development in their home countries. The programme provides 30 scholarships across full-time on-campus and part-time online options, covering tuition, living expenses, flights, and visa costs.

Who Can Apply
- 1 Must be a citizen and resident of Ethiopia, Malawi, Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda, or Zimbabwe
- 2 Must hold a bachelor's degree from a recognised institution that meets the University's academic requirements
- 3 Must have completed the bachelor's degree before September 2025
- 4 Must possess at least two years of relevant professional work experience (unpaid internships and volunteer work do not count)
- 5 Must demonstrate commitment to returning home after graduation
- 6 Must show strong potential to contribute to sustainable development at the community, national, or regional level
- 7 Must clearly explain how studying at the University of Manchester will advance both their career and their country's development
- 8 Must not have previously studied outside Africa (except training lasting six months or less)
