Who Can Apply
- 1 Demonstrate exceptional academic achievement and excellence
- 2 Be intending to commence postgraduate studies between January and June 2027
- 3 Have well-developed postgraduate research plans
- 4 Intend to pursue careers in academia, research, innovation, development, public policy or related knowledge-intensive sectors
- 5 Show potential to become leaders in their disciplines
- 6 Intend to use expertise to strengthen research and development within South Africa
- 7 Not be pursuing MBA or DBA programmes with narrow commercial focus
- 8 For international study: demonstrate that programme is unique/specialized, unavailable in South Africa, or study under internationally recognized experts will significantly advance their field
