About This Scholarship
The University of Basel offers partial scholarships to enrolled students with limited financial resources from low-income families. Support ranges from CHF 200-600 per month through scholarship funds, with additional solidarity funds available from CHF 500-1000 per semester.
What This Scholarship Covers

- Health and accident fund coverage for costs not covered by health insurance
Who Can Apply
- 1 Must be enrolled as a student at the University of Basel
- 2 Must have very limited financial resources
- 3 Must be from a low-income family
- 4 For Legat Grobe: must be completing a BA/MA degree in biology with focal area in zoology or botany
- 5 For Margarete and Walter Lichtenstein Foundation: must be enrolled in human/dental medicine or nursing science and hold Swiss citizenship
