About This Scholarship
Mitacs Globalink Research Internship is a 12-week competitive internship programme for international undergraduates from partner countries to conduct hands-on research at over 70 Canadian academic institutions under faculty supervision. The programme combines academic research experience with professional skills development and international exposure, offering support for airfare, accommodation, stipends, and health insurance.
What This Scholarship Covers
- Funding towards round-trip airfare to Canada (amount varies by country of origin)
- Funding towards transportation from airport to accommodation
- Stipend for housing (amount varies by country of origin)
- Stipend towards student enrollment fees (amount varies by host institution)
- Stipend for food and incidentals (amount varies by country of origin)
- Emergency health insurance policy for internship duration

Who Can Apply
- 1 Must be at least 18 years of age at the time of application
- 2 Must be enrolled in a full-time undergraduate or combined undergraduate/master's programme at an eligible institution
- 3 Must have completed at least two years of undergraduate study or be enrolled in the second year of current programme
- 4 Must be a citizen or permanent resident of an eligible country (Austria, Brazil, Chile, China, Colombia, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Jordan, Mexico, Pakistan, Peru, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Tunisia, Ukraine, United Kingdom, United States)
