About This Scholarship
The Digital Ethics Center Symposium (DECS) 2026 is an inaugural international academic forum hosted by Yale University designed to support early-career researchers whose work explores the ethical, legal, social, and governance implications of digital technologies. Selected PhD students and postdoctoral scholars will present peer-reviewed papers, receive feedback from leading experts, and have the opportunity for publication in Philosophy & Technology journal.

Who Can Apply
- 1 Must be a PhD student or postdoctoral scholar
- 2 Submission must be original work
- 3 Paper must not be formally published
- 4 Manuscript must not be currently under review elsewhere
- 5 Manuscript must not be committed for publication with another outlet
- 6 Preprints and working papers are acceptable (with disclosure)
- 7 Only one submission may be made as first author (may appear as co-author on additional submissions)
- 8 Applicants from all countries are eligible
