About This Scholarship
The F’SATI and ASIC Postdoctoral Fellowship is a 12-month programme supporting early-career researchers to conduct innovative research in software engineering for space systems and services, including nanosatellite platforms, ground station technologies, and space-weather services. The successful fellow will join the research environment at CPUT Bellville Campus, working alongside researchers in space innovation, engineering, and technology development.

- R250,000 stipend
Who Can Apply
- 1 Must hold a recent doctoral degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 2 Must demonstrate relevant expertise in software development, research methodologies, engineering systems, data systems, or space-related technologies
- 3 Must have completed a PhD obtained recently
- 4 Must have research experience in software engineering or related disciplines
- 5 Must have strong programming and software development skills
- 6 Must be able to conduct independent research
- 7 Must have experience working with technical research projects
- 8 Must be able to analyse and communicate research findings
- 9 Experience in space systems, satellite technologies, or aerospace-related software development is an advantage
