About This Scholarship
The Journalists in Residence Program is a 12-week intensive fellowship at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business designed for experienced journalists to deepen their understanding of political economy and business reporting. Participants receive a $14,000 stipend, airfare reimbursement, visa fees coverage, health insurance, and access to classes, seminars, and networking opportunities with faculty and scholars.
What This Scholarship Covers

Who Can Apply
- 1 Must have at least several years of journalism experience
- 2 Must have proficiency in English
- 3 Must have a strong interest in political economy
- 4 Must have an interest in business reporting, markets, public policy or the relationship between politics and the economy
- 5 Must have a desire to deepen knowledge and professional skills through an intensive academic experience
- 6 Journalists from different media backgrounds and nationalities are welcome to apply
