About This Scholarship
Event scholarships for GMHAC2027 conference providing financial support to African mental health researchers, students, and advocates who would otherwise be unable to attend due to financial constraints. The initiative ensures diverse voices from African mental health research, policy, practice and lived experience can participate in the global mental health conversation.
What This Scholarship Covers
- Conference registration fees
- Travel expenses

- Other relevant participation-related expenses
Who Can Apply
- 1 Early-career researchers working in mental health research, practice or policy
- 2 Students pursuing relevant studies with a letter of support from institution or supervisor
- 3 People with lived experience of mental health conditions or psychosocial disability
- 4 Other applicants with demonstrated connection to mental health in Africa
- 5 Priority given to applicants based in Africa for whom financial assistance is essential to attend
