About This Scholarship
The EAC Scholarship Programme is a regional initiative supporting academically talented but financially disadvantaged students to pursue Master’s studies in an EAC Partner State other than their country of citizenship. The programme provides comprehensive financial support including tuition, stipend, accommodation, and leadership development opportunities to foster regional integration and sustainable development.
What This Scholarship Covers
- Return economy-class airfare between home and host country
- Full tuition fees payable to host university
- Arrival allowance EUR 200
- Monthly stipend EUR 380 for accommodation, meals, local transport and living expenses
- Lump-sum allowance EUR 650 for study materials
- One-time EUR 1,500 study and research allowance
- Medical insurance coverage for duration of scholarship
- Visa/Entry fee coverage where applicable
- Participation in extracurricular events
Who Can Apply
- 1 Must be a national of Burundi, Democratic Republic of Congo, Kenya, Rwanda, Somalia, South Sudan, Tanzania, or Uganda
- 2 Must be below 35 years of age
- 3 Must be academically talented and financially disadvantaged
- 4 Must apply to study in an EAC country other than country of citizenship
- 5 Must apply to an approved Master's programme in Mathematics, Engineering, Informatics, Science, Technology or Business-related disciplines
- 6 Applications must be submitted in English
- 7 Female applicants, persons with disabilities and applicants from disadvantaged backgrounds are encouraged to apply
