About This Scholarship
The Mohamed Ali Foundation Fellowship Programme supports early-career postdoctoral researchers and established scholars undertaking research on the Abbas Hilmi II Papers at Durham University, a significant archival collection relating to the reign of Khedive Abbas Hilmi II and Egyptian history. Fellows conduct focused archival research, deliver a lecture at Durham University, and contribute to a volume of original scholarship.

Who Can Apply
- 1 Must be an early-career postdoctoral scholar or established scholar
- 2 Research must connect with themes identified by the fellowship's Advisory Panel or be well-grounded in the Abbas Hilmi II Papers
- 3 Good reading knowledge of Arabic, Ottoman Turkish, French, or English is often required to make full use of the collection
