About This Scholarship

The UN Youth Townhall 2026 will bring over 1,000 young people together in Heidelberg, Germany (8-10 December 2026) to build intergenerational trust, strengthen connections and create collaboration opportunities. Participants will engage in preparatory sessions, the main event, and commit to follow-up actions at local or national level.

What This Scholarship Covers

  • Roundtrip travel ticket from country of residence to venue and back
  • Terminal expenses (transportation to/from airport based on fixed UN rates)
  • Daily subsistence allowance based on fixed UN rates
  • Visa fee reimbursement after trip completion upon submission of receipt
  • Support with reasonable accommodations for persons with disabilities
  • Letter of invitation to support visa-related processes
  • Information on safe engagement in UN conferences and meetings
  • Preparatory information including event materials and reading sources

Who Can Apply

  • 1 Must be between 18 and 35 years old at the time of the event
  • 2 Must be engaged in grassroots, local, national, regional or global youth-led initiatives, projects, groups, movements or organizations
  • 3 Must be comfortable engaging in the English language
  • 4 Must be available to actively engage in all days of the event and in preparatory meetings
