About This Scholarship
The ACT-PREP programme offers 15 PhD and 10 postdoctoral research fellowships in clinical trials and epidemic preparedness to strengthen Africa’s capacity to conduct research and respond to infectious disease outbreaks. Fellows receive comprehensive support including tuition, stipend, mentorship, specialized training, and access to trial sites and research networks across partner African institutions.

Who Can Apply
- 1 Must be a national of one of the ACT-PREP partner countries (Democratic Republic of Congo, Rwanda, Senegal, Somalia, South Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda)
- 2 Must demonstrate strong academic and research potential
- 3 Proposed work must align with ACT-PREP priority themes
- 4 Must demonstrate commitment to research quality and integrity
- 5 Must have potential to contribute to strengthening clinical research and epidemic preparedness capacity in Africa
- 6 Female candidates are strongly encouraged to apply
