About This Scholarship
The Global Invisible University Fellowships 2027/28 at Central European University offer residential and non-residential research fellowships for scholars working on global challenges in higher education, knowledge production, and societal resilience. Fellows will undertake advanced research, participate in weekly seminars, and contribute to innovative interdisciplinary curricula while accessing CEU’s academic resources.
What This Scholarship Covers
- Monthly stipend (€1,500 net for junior fellows, €2,600 net for senior fellows)
- Housing at Raoul Wallenberg Guesthouse in Budapest's Castle District
- Access to CEU academic, research and library resources
- Participation in weekly research seminars and thematic discussions
Who Can Apply
- 1 Scholars in social sciences and humanities disciplines
- 2 Research must connect to at least one of GIU's key thematic areas
- 3 For Threatened Scholars category: must meet CEU's definition of threatened scholars facing repression, authoritarianism, or displacement
- 4 Interdisciplinary research proposals encouraged
