About This Scholarship
The CEES Fellowship Program at the University of Zurich offers 5-6 fully funded residential fellowships for young and mid-career scholars to conduct independent research for up to four months from mid-February 2027. Fellows receive financial support for living expenses, travel and administrative costs, workspace, library access, and the opportunity to engage with an interdisciplinary academic community focused on Eastern Europe and post-Soviet Eurasia.

Who Can Apply
- 1 Must be a young or mid-career scholar in social sciences or humanities
- 2 Must have a research proposal connected to Russia, Eastern Europe, the Caucasus, or Central Asia
- 3 Priority given to research on geopolitical trends, economic connectivity, or transnational social/cultural issues related to the South Caucasus region
- 4 Must be able to commit to four-month residential fellowship from mid-February 2027
