About This Scholarship
The Women in Agriculture Leadership Program Fellowship is a two-year non-residential fellowship designed to strengthen the capability, confidence, and influence of mid-career African women agricultural scientists to lead and contribute to climate-responsive agricultural research and agrifood systems. The fellowship combines leadership development, mentoring partnerships, and technical excellence through training courses, mentoring programs, and networking opportunities.

- Mentoring program (matched with mentor and mentee)
- Training on gender integration in climate adaptation
- Science communication training
- Research proposal writing training
- Networking with experienced African women scientists
Who Can Apply
- 1 Must be a female agricultural researcher from one of the target countries (Egypt, Ghana, Morocco, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Senegal)
- 2 Must reside in Africa and be actively engaged in research, policy or practice relevant to climate change and Africa's smallholder agriculture
- 3 Must have attained a minimum education level of a master's degree in agriculture and climate change related fields from a recognized university
- 4 Must have at least seven years of work experience in agriculture, agrifood systems, gender, climate, including design or implementation at institutional, national, or regional levels
