About This Scholarship
This scholarship supports cultural heritage professionals including curators, restorers, mediators, and culture managers from DAC list countries to undertake international exchange stays in Germany. The program promotes transcultural dialogue, sustainable practices, and decolonial approaches in cultural institutions through professional knowledge sharing and network building.
What This Scholarship Covers
- EUR 1,500 monthly stipend
- Visa costs
- Round-trip travel
- Health insurance
- Monthly public transport pass
- Up to EUR 500 for language course
- Family allowances (EUR 250 for spouse, EUR 250 per child)
Who Can Apply
- 1 Must be a curator, restorer, cultural mediator, or culture manager
- 2 Must work with cultural heritage, collections, or archives in an institution
- 3 Must have completed higher education or vocational training
- 4 Must demonstrate good English language proficiency (German or host country language helpful but not required)
- 5 Must be from a DAC list country (for stays in Germany) or from Germany (for reciprocal stays)
- 6 Must name and secure a non-profit or public host institution in Germany
- 7 Must jointly develop a concept note with the host institution
