About This Scholarship

Daejin University, in partnership with IUCEA, offers fully funded scholarships for students from East African Community member states to pursue undergraduate and graduate degrees in South Korea with comprehensive financial support. The program covers 100% tuition and dormitory fees for the first year/semester, with performance-based renewal based on academic achievement.

Who Can Apply

  • 1 Must be a citizen and resident of an EAC Partner State (Burundi, DRC, Kenya, Rwanda, South Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda, or Somalia)
  • 2 Must be below 25 years old for bachelor's degree or below 30 years old for master's degree at time of application
  • 3 Must have completed O'Level and A'Level or equivalent
  • 4 Year of completion must be 2023, 2024, or 2025
  • 5 Must have excellent academic records with minimum 'B' in all Mathematics or English modules
  • 6 Must have English proficiency: IELTS 5.5, CEFR B2, or TOEFL iBT 59 or higher
  • 7 Must provide 6-month bank statement showing minimum USD 16,000 balance and bank balance certificate
  • 8 Sponsor must be applicant, parent, guardian, or biological sibling (if parents deceased)
