About This Scholarship
The Cave Canem Fellowship is a fully funded literary retreat designed to support and develop the work of Black poets through intensive workshops, readings, and professional development. The 2027 retreat takes place June 6-13, 2027 at the University of Pittsburgh-Greensburg, offering participants access to esteemed faculty and an expansive community of peer poets.

Who Can Apply
- 1 Must be at least 21 years old at the time of the 2027 Cave Canem Retreat (June 6-13, 2027)
- 2 Must identify as a Black poet
- 3 Must submit application via Submittable with cover letter and poetry writing sample
