About This Scholarship
The AERC-World Bank Visiting Scholars Programme provides African researchers with the opportunity to spend 4-6 months at the World Bank’s Africa Region Chief Economist’s Office to advance their own research and collaborate with World Bank researchers. The programme aims to enhance research capacity, strengthen global linkages, and deepen policy impact in sub-Saharan Africa through access to World Bank resources, networks, and expertise.

Who Can Apply
- 1 Must be an AERC researcher, including researchers from the AERC collaborative PhD programme (CPP)
- 2 Must have an active AERC research project at least at interim/post field stage or final research paper stage
- 3 Research project must be pertinent to the research agenda of the World Bank Africa Region and imperatives for sustained African development
- 4 Women, francophone and lusophone candidates are especially encouraged to apply
