About This Scholarship
The Anne van Biema Fellowship supports postdoctoral and senior scholars conducting research on Japanese visual arts at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of Asian Art in Washington, DC. The fellowship provides up to $60,000 in funding for research projects lasting two to twelve months, along with access to collections, archives, and institutional resources.

Who Can Apply
