About This Scholarship
The Ashinaga Internship Program offers university students, graduate students, and recent graduates hands-on experience in the non-profit field while working with a Japanese non-profit organization that provides financial support and emotional care to young people who have lost parents or whose parents have disabilities. Participants develop international connections, build essential career skills, and work in a highly multicultural environment with flexible, part-time arrangements.
What This Scholarship Covers
- Monthly allowance
- Work-related travel expenses for Japan-based interns
- Hands-on working experience in a multicultural environment
- Part-time, flexible working arrangements
Who Can Apply
- 1 Must be a university student, graduate student, or recent graduate
- 2 Must have native-level or high-level fluency in English
- 3 Must be available to work approximately 20 hours per week
- 4 Must demonstrate creativity, proactivity, and growth mindsets
- 5 Must be interested in working with people from diverse backgrounds
- 6 Open to applicants from all countries
